What your stock is worth
Stock › Valuation adds up what the stock on hand cost, by location and by product, from the batches it was bought in.
Checked against the product on 13 October 2026
StockValuation shows what the stock you hold cost you: each batch's quantity times its unit cost, added up. It needs the Advanced Inventory module and is shown to those who may see cost (Admin, with the shipped roles).
- Total Value and Quantity: everything on hand, at every location.
- By Location: each location's quantity, average cost per unit and value.
- By Product: the same per item, and below it the detail per item and location.

The Costing Method reads “Earliest expiry, then oldest lot (FEFO)”: a sale is costed at the batch it takes, earliest expiry first, and the average cost shown is the average of the batches still on hand. See Batches and expiry dates.
Its quantities agree with the Inventory list: an item's quantity here is the sum of its stock records at every location.
