- Modules and plansThe parts of Otura your plan includes, switching one off when you do not use it and back on, and what a page belonging to a module that is off says.Read
- Trying Otura in test mode, and going liveA new business starts in test mode: it can try every part of Otura with sales that are not real, receipts say TEST, invoices are numbered TEST-INV, and nothing reaches the real books. On go-live day Otura archives the test data and the first real invoice is INV-000001.Read

- PacksSell and buy an item by the box, case or sack — with its own price and barcode — while stock is always counted in single units.Read
- Shared barcodesNames for barcodes your shop has never entered, from Open Food Facts and other shops — where each came from, and whether your own barcodes are shared.Read
- Serial numbers and warrantiesPhones, tools and appliances sold by serial number: the till asks for each unit’s serial, keeps its warranty, and frees it when it comes back.Read
- Your own barcodes and labelsBarcodes for clothes and anything else that arrives without one, and labels with size, colour, price and a barcode the till can scan.Read

- Sales rung while offlineWhere the sales a till rang without a connection wait, how they reach the server, and what to do when one is stuck.Read
Sales records and invoices

Getting stock in and entering supplier invoices, counting it, moving it between locations, batches and expiry, what it is worth, and reordering.
- Stock shortfallsWhen a till sells offline and another till sold the last units meanwhile, the sale is still booked and the missing units are recorded as a shortfall. Find each one and account for it: stock that arrived without being booked, a count that confirms the loss, or something else.Read
- Tracked and untracked itemsChoose whether selling an item reduces its stock. Goods you count, and dishes with a recipe, are tracked; services and fees usually are not.Read
- Getting stock in, and keeping it rightA tracked product sells only when it has stock where the till sells from. How to put stock in, correct it, see its history and get low-stock warnings.Read

- Production runsMake a batch ahead — dough, sauces, bread — from a recipe: the ingredients leave stock when the run starts, the finished goods arrive when it is completed, at their cost.Read
