Privacy policy
Last updated October 2026
This policy covers mobbrains.com. It is deliberately short, because this site does very little with your data.
Who we are
Mob Brains is a software and product studio. For anything in this policy, write to us through the contact form.
What we collect
- What you send us.If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address or phone number, company and message you type, the topic you pick, and the budget range if it is about a software project. With it comes the page you sent it from, your browser's language, and the description your browser gives of itself (its user agent). We use it to reply to you and nothing else.
- Analytics, only if you agree. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which parts of the site are useful. The Google Analytics script is not loaded at all until you press Accept, so if you decline, or simply ignore the banner, your browser never contacts Google and no analytics cookies are set.
We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising or advertising cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Cookies and local storage
- Your consent choiceis stored in your browser's local storage so we don't ask on every page. It never leaves your device.
- Google Analytics cookies (
_ga,_ga_*) are set only after you accept. They expire after two years, or sooner if you clear them.
To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will reappear.
Where the contact form goes
The form sends your message to Otura, the software we build and run, which stores it on Amazon Web Services in the EU (Frankfurt). We read and answer it in Otura's admin portal, which only our own staff can sign in to. To stop the form being flooded, Otura counts how many messages arrive from each internet address. It counts under a hash of the address rather than the address itself, and never stores the address with your message.
Who else processes your data
- Google Analytics, only with your consent, as described above.
- Amazon Web Services hosts the site and Otura. Their infrastructure logs standard request data such as IP address for security and delivery.
How long we keep things
Contact form messages are kept for about a year and then deleted automatically, or sooner on request. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics retention setting, and in any case we only ever see it in aggregate.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or object to how we use it. Tell us through the contact form, choosing “Something else”, and we'll deal with it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we'll update the date at the top of this page.
